If you’re looking for one of the best spring festivals in Fayetteville, the annual Fayetteville Strawberry Festival is a can’t-miss event. Hosted by the Downtown Fayetteville Coalition, this beloved community celebration returns to the Historic Downtown Square for a weekend filled with local flavor, live music, and family-friendly fun.
Now in its third year, the festival serves as a free, vibrant kickoff to summer in Northwest Arkansas—bringing together visitors and locals alike to experience the region’s food, culture, and creativity.
Kick Off the Weekend: Strawberry Street Dance
Start your weekend on Saturday, May 16, from 6:00–10:00 p.m. with the Strawberry Street Dance under the stars in downtown Fayetteville.
Enjoy live performances from Jukebox Confessions and Texas country artist Nick Taylor as you dance the night away in the heart of the city. It’s the perfect way to ease into a weekend of celebration.
Sunday Main Event: Fayetteville Strawberry Festival
On Sunday, May 17, from noon to 6:00 p.m., downtown Fayetteville transforms into a lively festival hub packed with entertainment, shopping, and delicious treats.
What to Expect
Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Social
A BERRY special guest, Muriel Fahrion, the original creator and illustrator of the iconic Strawberry Shortcake franchise, will also be returning this year. In addition to being onsite Sunday with memorabilia and merchandise for sale, superfans now have the opportunity to purchase tickets for a special Strawberry Ice Cream Social at Folklore Gift Shop & Ice Cream Saturday night from 6-9pm.
Tickets are $20 per person and include your choice of ice cream plus a photo or autograph with Muriel.
Strawberry Pie Competition
Think you’ve got the BERRY best pie in town? Enter your sweetest creation in the Fayetteville Strawberry Festival Pie Contest. Registrations are capped at 40 entries, so be sure to sign up today!
Calling all dog lovers!! You won’t want to miss the Hound’s Lounge Dog Paw-ty Parade on Sunday, May 17th at the Fayetteville Strawberry Festival starting at 1PM.
Dress your pup in their BERRY best attire and strut around the square with the festive crew, led by the lively sounds of the NOLA Brass Band. Free to participate and there will be prizes for dressing up.
Event Details: Participants will check-in at The Graduate Hotel at 12:30 and the Dog Paw-ty Parade will begin at 1PM.
