Facade Grants

The DFC Facade Grant Program is here to help downtown businesses enhance curb appeal and keep Downtown Fayetteville looking its best.

The DFC Facade Grant is funded in part by Greenwood Gearhart.

Details

    • The program offers 50% reimbursement for eligible façade improvements

    • Grant requests range from $200 to $2,000

    • This is a grant, not a loan—no repayment required

    Good to know: Applicants pay for the project upfront and are reimbursed after completion.

  • The grant is designed to support general façade upgrades, including (but not limited to):

    • Painting

    • Awnings

    • Signage

    • Window and/or door replacement

    • Electrical work and lighting

    All improvement requests will be considered, as long as they enhance the front-facing exterior of the building and contribute to a clean, attractive downtown appearance.

  • To stay on track, please note the following requirements:

    • All improvements must comply with City of Fayetteville ordinances

    • A completed grant application and W-9 must be submitted before work begins

    • Approved projects must:

      • Begin within 60 days of DFC approval

      • Be completed within 120 days of DFC approval

    • The grant covers 50% of approved project costs

    • The minimum request is $200; the maximum is $2,000

    • Funds are disbursed after the project is complete and once:

      • Photos of the finished work

      • Itemized receipts
        have been submitted to DFC

  • To qualify for the DFC Façade Grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Business must be located within the Downtown Fayetteville boundary

    • Locally owned, small businesses receive priority consideration

    • Businesses must align with the mission of DFC

    Not eligible:

    • Churches, schools, and federal or city-owned buildings

    • Private residences

Cross-Street Banners

Promote your event in the heart of Downtown Fayetteville!

Details

  • $175 — One-week reservation (per banner location)

    $250 — Two-week reservation (per banner location)

    Invoices are issued after installation with Net 30 payment terms

  • Banners can be installed at the following locations:

    • Dickson Street & Arkansas Avenue

    • Dickson Street near Church Avenue

    • Block Street

    Reservations are first-come, first-served.

    • Reservations can be made up to 1 year in advance of your event.

    • Banners may hang no more than 2 weeks prior to the event.

    • Reservations are from Monday to Monday.

    • Banner installation/removal may be delayed due to weather.

    • No commercial advertisements allowed.

    • Sponsor names may appear in plain text only, preceded by:
      “Sponsored by:”

    • Only logos permitted:

      • Hosting nonprofit organization

      • Event logo

      • Government entities

    • Banners may be damaged by strong winds or repeated use.

    • Materials can become brittle over time, increasing the risk of tearing.

    • Downtown Fayetteville is not responsible for banner damage.
